WebQuest Dialog

21st century learning environments made semi-easy

This is one of many maps that I use to help people understand the relation of poverty to poorly performing schools, and to draw volunteers and donors to tutor/mentor programs in Chicago.

I lead a non profit in Chicago called Tutor/Mentor Connection, and use maps and other visual tools to help people who don't live in poverty find information that helps them become more strategically involved in places throughout the city where they can help kids overcome the challenges they face and move through school and into jobs.

I think that webquests could provide a path of learning for people looking at the information on the T/MC sites, and this could lead more people into greater involvement.

If you're interested in learning more browse our Ning page to see examples of projects that interns are currently working on. Introduce yourself and join in.

I rely on volunteers and interns to do my work, so I hope that some of you with experiences in creating and using web quests might become interested in using the content on the T/Mc sites in teaching students to create their own web quests.
